Saranac, Saranac, Fading Memories, Apple Pie and Volunteer Firemen

Nothing is more American than good beer, volunteer firefighting, apple pie, and Lake Placid's 1980 hockey rink. The 1980 Rink is home to one of the greatest team sports events in world competition but 26 years later a fading memory.

Some of my week touring around NY State from Saranac Beer in Utica, to Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks.

USA..USA..USA...USA

"...Eleven seconds, you've got ten seconds, the countdown is going on right now! Morrow, up to Silk...five seconds left in the game...Do you believe in miracles? YES!!!" -Al Michaels call of the final seconds vs. USSR

FX Matt Brewery, 2nd oldest in the US.

Nice Weather For A Parade...HVVFA Parade in Colonie

This thing reminds me of a Hitler mobile from Nazi Germany.

Firedog...most docile dog I've ever seen...just the hat would put most dogs over the edge.
